Breastfeeding in Style

Having ridden the sartorial wave of maternity fashion, I had forgotten just what a headache it is to find breastfeeding friendly clothes that are suitable for a more dressy occasion. Buttoned blouses and shirts, jersey t-shirts with flaps, straps and wraps are fine for day to day but what about when you’re after something a little more elegant?

With several summer social events planned, I went on a dress search when the smalls had been generous enough to bless me with a little sleep. The key criteria being easy boob access without complete breast exposure whilst feeding. Both these dresses function brilliantly in this way.
To aid additional modesty, I wore a simple black cotton crop top under the dress and over my bra. This was so short that it didn’t cover Eva’s face when feeding and made me feel comfortable and relaxed enough to feed her both in public and in-front of my husbands work colleagues.

Naturally, as a British expat, I logged on to the Marks and Spencers website to check out what the Autograph and Limited Edition collections had to offer. This number leapt of the page and straight onto my “must have” list.
