A couple of Frankfurters

I moved to Frankfurt 8 years ago from London and have experienced its charms from many different points of view. Initially I came as a tourist visiting my boyfriend, (now husband) then as a fledgling resident,  a social butterfly, as a fashion boutique owner, as a mother and now having moved to Berlin, as a visitor again!

Frankfurt is a modern, international city with plenty to offer in terms of shopping, culture and culinary treats.  Here are a couple of my faves…

Eccolo

Eccolo Cafe It’s all about Sandro really, the ultimate hospitality expert. His Kochladen is elegant and stylish, suitable for a business meeting, a date or just a pause. “It’s all about the people” and as he greets each and every individual as if they were an old friend, you instantly know this is an excellent place to hang out.

Why do I love it… The Specials menu: these simple numbers are prepared with the finest ingredients and ALWAYS delicious, nourishing and the best kind of comfort food. An Italian breakfast is always a winner plus they do the frothiest of cappucinos. All this alongside a great selection of red wine that, frankly soothes the soul. A triple thumbs up from me!
