Shoes, Shoes beautiful Shoes!
The London Fashion Week Designer Showrooms are a brilliant addition to LFW and offer the opportunity for select brands to show their collections to buyers and press.
I do rather love shoes, so it’s not terribly surprising that the following brand leapt out at me. Passion, enthusiasm and knowledge as well as utterly gorgeous shoes.
Camilla Elphick is a young British shoe designer, whose feminine yet playful designs have garnered critical acclaim in just three seasons. Camilla boasts a rather impressive CV, having gathered experience with Nicholas Kirkwood, Sophia Webster, Donna Karen, Paul Andrew and Charlotte Olympia!
Handmade in Italy, Camilla’s designs are defined by a feminine yet playful aesthetic and focus on premium, ethical sourced materials and bespoke prints. I’m loving the heels on these shoes below with their sculptural, graphic form.
Wholesales manager, Giulia Bacciottini was a delight to talk to, extremely knowledgeable about the brand and clearly a 100% shoe-aholic! The brands fans include Alexa Chung, Leandro Medine, Ella Eyre, Ellie Bamber, Amber Le Bon, Leaf Greener, Dree Hemingway and Chloe Moritz.
Above shows a colourful display of the brands award winning ‘Pez’ shoe from her graduate collection, ‘So bad It’s good’ which received widespread attention from fashion editors.
Below are a trio of metallic examples from the SS17 collection. Gorgeous! Just enough quirk to real in plenty of compliments and brighten every outfit.
The brand is clearly going from strength to strength and I believe we can expect great things. See www.camillaelphick.com for further information and to purchase this seasons collection.
