Christmas Gift Countdown with Usborne Children’s Books

Today’s Christmas Gift Countdown comes care of Usborne English Children’s Book and www.ExpatBabies.com founder Sarah Stoller.

The cover photo shows a personal favourite of mine and juniors, this beautiful book is absolutely ideal as a gift. Six original festive tales for little children, including the story of a fake Father Christmas, stolen diamonds, a best-dressed snowman competition and Santa’s day off. This charming illustrated collection is perfect for sharing with little children at Christmas, or for older children to read themselves, and makes a delightful gift.

Frankfurt based Sarah is the mother of two children, married and living in Germany with her husband. She is the founder of the website and facebook forum ExpatBabies she began because since her German was limited and she still needed answers to the most basic of things.

The website has been a massive source of comfort to me and I believe many others for which I am delighted.  As I have said, it’s hard enough being a parent but in a foreign place without extended family is twice as hard.

Joining Usborne Books was a complimentary activity. It gave me access to English books for my children, and also to the parents that I come across in the community. I have a passion for the written word and a desire that my children and others have access to more than movie/internet English.

So here are her Silberzahn Style christmas book recommendations to keep the little ones entertained in a festive fashion!

Available to order directly from Sarah here.

Here’s one for the smallest members of the Christmas Crew. A delightful Christmas board book with high contrast illustrations and touchy-feely patches perfect for sharing with the very young. Each festive picture has a simple description beneath to help babies learn to associate words and pictures. Young children will love feeling the different materials in every picture again and again. The last two pages show a montage of all the pictures in the book with new descriptions to help children learn their first colours.
