My dedication to this British institution will not falter, every time I’m in the UK it’s my first shopping destination and I never fail to find something fabulous and affordable for my wardrobe. Often these finds are from the Limited Edition or Autograph ranges but what I find interesting is that people are always surprised at what I return with and don’t relate them to M&S.
Marks and Spencer’s certainly receives mixed press and may not be the first place that ‘fashionistas’ head but I’ve always been able to find a few great fashion pieces at brilliant prices as well as excellent quality. Apparently I’m not alone in this thinking, Alexa Chung, the model, TV Presenter and style icon has joined forces with the M&S design team to delve into their archives and bring key pieces back to life!*
The second collection of 27 pieces will have a luxe evening wear vibe leading us into the winter party season. The new collection will be released both in-store and online on November 1st.** I look forward to sharing more on this story in November!
Here are some of my Instagram feed images featuring my most recent and favourite M&S finds.
Both the red jumper and the shoes are M&S and both were under £40! The metallic cropped jeans are from TopShop. Unfortunately for you guys the ruffle jumper is no longer available online, the lesson being you do need to be quick to pick up the cooler items! Sorry! There are however limited numbers of the shoes currently available though and they also come in black! Red suede shoes.
I’m always looking for classic leather pieces to add to my wardrobe and couldn’t believe it when I spotted this number in the Autograph collection. Still available to purchase online, grab yours while you can! I’ve styled this black leather skirt with the Noonie Wrap blouse by Anami and Janine. Click here to read my interview with the designer.
